GUARANTEE OF WORKMANSHIP

Professional Home Improvement & Installation Services

Quality Homes Pro stands behind the quality of the workmanship we provide. We take pride in doing our work properly, treating our customers’ homes with care, and standing behind the work after the job is complete.

OUR GUARANTEE

Quality Homes Pro guarantees that labor and workmanship performed by Quality Homes will be completed in a professional manner consistent with generally accepted practices for the type of work being performed.

For a period of one (1) year from the date of substantial completion, Quality Homes will correct, at no additional labor charge to the homeowner, defects in workmanship that are directly attributable to work performed by Quality Homes.

If a covered workmanship defect is identified during the guarantee period, Quality Homes will inspect the condition and, when determined to be the responsibility of Quality Homes, make reasonable repairs necessary to correct the defective workmanship.

WHAT IS COVERED

This guarantee applies to defects caused directly by Quality Homes’ workmanship, including, when applicable:

  • Improper installation of materials
  • Workmanship-related installation failures
  • Loose, improperly secured, or improperly installed components
  • Other defects directly attributable to the labor performed by Quality Homes

The specific scope of each guarantee is limited to the work actually performed by Quality Homes under the applicable estimate, proposal, or contract.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED

This workmanship guarantee does not cover:

  • Defects in materials supplied by the homeowner or another party
  • Manufacturer defects or product failures
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, accidents, or improper maintenance
  • Damage caused by water intrusion, leaks, excessive moisture, flooding, or environmental conditions
  • Movement, settling, expansion, contraction, or structural movement of the existing building
  • Existing conditions that were not created by Quality Homes
  • Defects or failures resulting from work performed, modified, or repaired by another contractor or person after Quality Homes’ work was completed
  • Damage caused by pets, occupants, or other third parties
  • Changes in appearance resulting from normal aging, sunlight, humidity, temperature, or ordinary use
  • Problems caused by homeowner-supplied materials that are defective, improperly sized, incompatible, or unsuitable for the application
  • Work that was specifically identified in the contract as excluded, existing, or outside the scope of work
  • Conditions that could not reasonably be identified or corrected within the contracted scope of work

HOMEOWNER-SUPPLIED MATERIALS

When the homeowner supplies materials, Quality Homes guarantees the installation workmanship, but does not guarantee the material itself.

Quality Homes is not responsible for manufacturer defects, premature product failure, incorrect dimensions, incompatibility, color variation, product limitations, or other defects in homeowner-supplied materials.

Where appropriate, Quality Homes will assist the homeowner in identifying an apparent material problem, but any manufacturer warranty remains the responsibility of the manufacturer or supplier.

EXISTING CONDITIONS

Quality Homes cannot guarantee existing structures, substrates, plumbing, electrical systems, cabinetry, framing, flooring, walls, or other components that were not installed by Quality Homes.

If existing conditions contribute to a problem after completion, the condition will be evaluated to determine whether the issue is related to Quality Homes’ workmanship or to the existing structure or materials.

WARRANTY CLAIM PROCEDURE

If the homeowner believes a workmanship defect has occurred, the homeowner should notify Quality Homes as soon as reasonably possible and provide a description of the concern.

Quality Homes will make reasonable efforts to:

  1. Review the reported issue.
  2. Inspect the work when necessary.
  3. Determine whether the condition is covered by this guarantee.
  4. Schedule reasonable corrective work when the issue is determined to be a covered workmanship defect.

The homeowner must provide Quality Homes reasonable access to the property and affected area so that the condition can be inspected and, when appropriate, corrected.

REPAIR OR CORRECTION

Quality Homes’ obligation under this guarantee is limited to correcting the covered workmanship defect.

The guarantee does not create an obligation to replace entire systems, assemblies, rooms, or materials when a reasonable repair can correct the workmanship defect.

When repair requires removal or disturbance of materials that were not installed by Quality Homes, Quality Homes will discuss the circumstances with the homeowner before proceeding.

MANUFACTURER WARRANTIES

Manufacturer and supplier warranties applicable to materials, fixtures, appliances, flooring, plumbing products, finishes, and other products remain the responsibility of the respective manufacturer or supplier.

Quality Homes’ workmanship guarantee is separate from and does not replace any manufacturer’s warranty.

TRANSFER OF GUARANTEE

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, this workmanship guarantee applies to the original homeowner/customer who contracted with Quality Homes and is not transferable to a subsequent property owner.

LIMITATION OF GUARANTEE

This document constitutes Quality Homes’ workmanship guarantee for the specific labor and services described in the applicable contract or estimate.

No guarantee is provided for work that Quality Homes did not perform or for conditions outside the reasonable control of Quality Homes.

Nothing in this guarantee is intended to limit any rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.

OUR COMMITMENT

At Quality Homes, we believe our relationship with a customer should not end when the final payment is made.

We stand behind our work.

If something we installed does not perform as it should because of our workmanship, we want to know about it and will make a reasonable effort to make it right.
